Fear

One "quick" thought on our old nemesis "Fear"......(referencing the story of course)  St. Teresa wasn't afraid to take on all the demons in all 7 rooms of the Castle.......She broke away - if you will - from the established Carmelite order because she felt - well who is to say how she felt - but one might assume - her reasoning was that the Carmelites needed to be associated with "poverty and a life of no personal possessions."  Hard to imagine in our world today...........

With the help of St. John of the Cross - started a new order of the Carmelites - she was a woman, a Sister, with no money, no personal property, spending hours alone in contemplation, facing all her own fears - her life span was 1515 - 1582 - hard to imagine -

and still she mapped the " 7 rooms of the soul".............

what am I trying to say here.........Fear is usually the grand robber of our lives...........Fear takes most of it (our lives) from us...........

St. Teresa showed the way for "Charlie"..........and what Charlie was trying to show the reader - is that there is nothing more important than the integrity of our own souls..... (each expressing this in their own way - and each tolerant of the other

In a world that seems to have gone astray - can't we do that ??? St. Teresa thought we could....and Charlie does as well.  :)
