The Castle

I think I'll say a few things about the Castle that Charlie navigates at the end of Book One.   So the challenge, of course, was where would the 8 Laws of Understanding "hide out..."  I certainly didn't want the traditional hide and seek scenario with complicated yet imaginative pit falls and hazards that our hero has to negotiate.  Then I "happened upon" the amazing work of St. Teresa of Avila.  She was born in Spain in 1515 in the town of Avila.  Was "sent" to a convent school at the age of 16 and later  joined the Carmelite order....then founded her own order, a truly marvelous adventure.  She and St. John of the Cross corresponded and met several times.

So.....what St. Teresa did, of course, was to map the seven rooms of the soul.  As far as I am concerned this would be akin to awakening Kundalini ---and going through the arduous process that would lead to enlightenment.

In the Chronicles, the laws are hidden in the 7th room of the castle that Niss shows Charlie.  In Chapter Fifty-Seven, The Castle, Charlie starts his journey.   He first meets the guards that are disinterested.  They guard the Castle but really don't care about it.  .....more latter...

And what I think I'll do .............:)  is just leave it at that with respect to the Castle.....I don't want to give it all away...but.....I'll explain the Castle latter....
